I'm getting these in the next week and I'm just wondering, do I need any kind of special parts to accommodate them?
Also, I've heard these things are pretty much impossible to break... What should I get to add to the durability of the rest of my suspension?
None But you will need(I think) 2.5 sliders(axles).

All you need is longer turnbuckles. You can reuse your old sliders

^^^What he said. That's all I needed when I converted my old Tmaxx.

No, the front uses 106mm (trx p/n 5138) and the rear uses 116mm long turnbuckles (trx p/n 5139) according to the Tmaxx parts list that came with mine. They are diff in length - front versus the rear.
The lengths quoted by tower don't agree, but the rear tb's are longer. Apparently with the TI, the length is diff.
These say they're the fronts -

Those you've linked are the 2 for the rear - read the ad! So, get the 2 you linked and other 2 linked above and you should be ready to go.

You're welcome!
I think you'll be surprised how diff the wide suspension will make! If you haven't already another really big improvement is a better strg servo. I was blown away how much diff that made in mine. BTW, at $200, you're just getting started, lol! I hate to think of what I've got in mine!!
