I wanted to get a basic airbrush so I could do Fascolor metallic flake on some of my bodies.

I've read about the basic airbrushes themselves btu I have a question about the air supply.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to hook up a paintball airtank to and airbrush system .. or can show me where to buy the stuff to do that.

I have a 90 cubic inch tank (4500psi) with a regulator that can dial the output from 1-850 psi.

Anyone know where I can find the hardware to hook an airbrush system up to it ?

Thanks,

Dave

First try any hardware store that carries air compressors and air tools. if they dont have the right fittings, look up stores that specialize in pumps, and air compressors.

your best bet since your into paintball go to your local airsmith and see if they can get you the correct fittings if not bring your tank and regulater to a hardware store or plumbing supply/welding supply you should only need a few fittings to adapt the output from the reg to your airbrush hose.

just a friendly warning your airsupply won't last all that long you might have enough to do more then 1 body depending on how much detail your looking to achive.

by my rough calculations my paintball compressed air tank will hold the equivalent of 11.25 cubic feet of air @ 3000psi (standard scuba fill tank is 80 cubic feet)

Is that really going to do just ONE car body ? Simple stuff like one or two color metallic jobs ........

If so is there anyone in the Northern Virginia area that would be willing to shoot som Faskolor metallic purple for me on a couple of bodies I'm trying to do ?

Thanks,

Dave

ahh my mistake thought you were using CO2, with a nitro tank you should have plenty of air to get a few simple bodys done. just remember to set the output to no more then 60PSI.
