I thought I messed up this body and decided that since I screwed it up I might as well just do something weird

I was wondering about that. It dosen't look at that bad though. Maybe if the crosses were a little more even? With the flames, it sorta gives a nice contrast if you know what I mean ;) I won't go to much into that to respect the beliefs of others on the forum, but you probably get what I mean. It reminds me of a piece of symbolic art we might have to analyse in my English AP class lol.

Hey resp, man I've always admired your work, but lately you've been rushing it too much! How about instead of doing a body in 30mins or less that looks okay, you take your time and design it beforehand, add more detail like you used to, and make it really stand out. THAT should make all that boredom go away, plus you wont run out of mini bodies in less than a week.

Aluma thanks for the info, I will keep this in mind. I usually take 4-5 hrs on a detailed mini. But I have some really cool bodies that a friend of mine made. He goes by the name of HOMER, and makes custom bodies. He sent me a batch that I wanted to get started on but I wanted to make sure that these got out of the way before hand. I was just practicing different shading techniques in each one that I posted. For instance this one I wanted to see how the crosses (I just happen to randomly pick crosses) and see how it would come out if I highlighted the area around the crosses. If you look at each of them you will notice that they are all different and that their is a halo around each of them. I now know that i added too many coats of paint. So now I know, and in the future I can do it better. This thing I'm doing where it takes me 30min, that's just me trying to see how fast I can pump one of these out without giving it tooo much effort. I personally think that I've done a decent job, but at the cost of not putting black lines around the flames or creating shadows (back drops). So these were just for practice. This also helps to keep the price of selling them pretty low also. I keep in mind that younger hobbyist are the ones that pretty much have micros. So parents can by my shells for almost nothing. A normal body costs what?-$15.00 and I generally receive $20-25.00. So I guess this is pretty good on both ends. I make some paint money and whoever buys it gets a pretty well painted body close to the cost of an unpainted shell.
