I got a letter to the Die Cast X email-bag the other day regarding the absence of an antenna mast on GMP's Missouri Armada P-51D Mustang. The reader -- John Dupree -- noted that previous GMP Mustangs had an antenna but that it was omitted on this most recent model. My own version of this model is also antennaless. Ironically, the box art shows a model with an antenna. This link (http://www.gmpdiecast.com/products/details.cfm?ProductNumber=G3502006&category=1%3A35%20P%2D51Mustang#) clearly shows an antenna.
So the question is, was this a mistake, or did GMP deliberately remove the antenna mast. If so, why?
