I am wanting to protect my maxx because im not used to it quite yet and trees are common, not to mention that I have a motocross track in my back-yard. :D But just looking around on Ebay I saw several options on cages, I can make bumpers but I think a cage would be better for me to just buy. Have any suggestions or experiences?

yes get a cage, when i sarted rc i recked my maxx alot and i spent the $70.00 for a nice stainless steel chromed roll cage, saves my truck. a cage is a great thing to invest in if your not a good driver and hit things alot like me :D

I agree with Out Of Control, think of them as training wheels for your MT until you become a good driver :) I know mine saved my cooling head, radio gear and shock towers too many times to count :D

I plan on a cage regardless, I just wanted to know if there was any cages I should stay away from, obviously a warped or cracked one would be a given but there is several types on Ebay and I was wondering if one was really better than the other.

I think i am becomeing a spokes person for VGRacing... i keep on seeing things that have to do with roll cages, and i have alot of experience in this, i have many trucks and i have bout a few difrent makes, but i think my VGRacing cages have held up the best. i think i got my T-Maxx cage on ebay for about 40 buks.. Great deal... and my friend got one from there web site, Rollcagecity.com (http://Rollcagecity.com) i think they have an estore there or something.. GOOD LUCK
