You can try whatever you prefer but i think at the end of the day it is easier to go and buy a new one as you are certain that this is going to be okay and work perfect. You only need a prick hole and believe me you will be pulling your hair out as this will have and will have dramatic effect on tunning of engine running of the truck.

Yep, definitely get a new tank. Not worth the hassle of fighting a broken one. Even with the screw turned around, a hard backend-down landing can push a shock through the tank (happened to me twice), but the chances are reduced compared to the screw issue.
Go here (http://www.smfstore.com/product_info.php?cPath=2&products_id=78) for a good price on a Savage tank. :)

Wow...you definately don't know who doesgo is. He's one of the guys from SlapMaFro, which is why he linked you to that store instead of Tower in the first place. Who cares that it's 3 dollars more than one off of Ebay? Buying from SMF helps to support the guys who make all of those kickass videos for us!
As for the Crowd Pleazer, of course they make one. Every Maxx body is a direct fit on the Savage. The Savage and the Maxx are almost exactly the same size. The body posts on the two trucks are in exactly the same location, literally. Pull a body off of a Maxx and put it on your Savage, I bet you your truck that the holes line up perfectly.

LOL! Thanks for the support, Metalry! I don't begrudge anyone for searching out great deals, though. We're doing our best to stock up on parts and beat Tower's prices, processing time, and customer service, hopefully that will be enough to win over some customers. We know we have to earn it, and we're doing our best.
I didn't believe that the Savage and Maxx bodies are completely and directly interchangeable until I saw it. Even as my bro-in-law was making the swap I was still doubtful, but sure enough, a perfect fit on both trucks. I guess I had been thinking about my SUT not directly accepting Maxx bodies. Sure, you can cut up a Maxx body to fit an SUT, but it's a far cry from a direct bolt-on!

im talking about the new 2.0 bodies, proline says i need the 2 inch extentsion chassis to make the body fit. but i need a second opinion, by the way doesgo is there ever going that ultimate jump movie going to be on your website, ive been dying to see it from day one.

The only 2.0 body that I know of is the CP designed specifically for the Revo. That should fit too. It's shaped kinda funky (like the stock Revo body), but the Revo itself is the same size as a Savage, so I would imagine the body would fit just fine.

No prob. I need to order some shirts and such. I don't have a Savage, so most of the stuff in the store wouldn't really work for me, but I'll probably order a dozen more decal sheets or so (I got a couple a little while back, along with the lanyard, it rocks!!!). Keep up the good work man, your vids rock! As for the store, the pricing seems to be as good or better than anyones, but for some reason, people are just diehard about Tower. I dunno why...but whatever works I guess. Hope things are going well!

Okay...you're thinking of the ginormous bodies made for the LST, MGT, TNX, etc. No, those are too big for a stock Savage. If you want the 2.0 CP, buy the one for the Revo.

That ski jump and barn action in the "Fighting Gravity" trailers is going to show up in the DVD, which we expect to be out in early September. Believe me, we've been dying to get it out there and to do more "web videos," but all our time has been sucked up by the making of the DVD and Store. We're looking forward to getting back to proper bashing and making web videos soon!

Thanks! Yeah, we're currently concentrating on the Savage and metric hardware/hardware kits, but that's going to change shortly. Just today we received a few thousand pieces of "English" hardware so we can accomodate the Associated and Losi vehicles, and in a couple weeks we expect TONS of stuff including parts for many different vehicles as well as a very healthy supply of bearings for most R/C vehicles.
Take care (of your R/Cs)... :)
