I just bought a new Mammoth ST.....it seems like these are to new or not very popular.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this rig....and.....are there any upgrades you would recommend?

They look like good trucks, You might want to go to the XTM Forum directly though, Just search for XTM Racing on Google, Click onto the site and stumble onto the Global Hobbies Support Forum. There is a wealth of info on there, You may find on here support for the truck is abit thin.

The Mammoth ST looks to be a very good truck...and I've heard good things about it. But the problem is, well....at least around here where I live...is XTM is very poorly supported.

global/hobby people is pretty much west coast only, and it really sucks having to order in parts.I wonder if you could shoehorn in the 2 speed diff from a razorback.I would like to drive one of these but with a center diff and and hot engine.

I ran the st for about an hour off and on with no major problems. It does seem like the clutch is in need of upgrading(no power through about an inch of muddy water or in grass of any depth if your taking off.
Plenty of power on gravel but at high speeds the steering couldn't keep up...we would turn left and it would dash to the right...those 4x4 post on the fence took a beating!

Looks like xtm may be spreading their wings a bit. Towerhobbies is selling their stuff. Is this old news or something that has just started. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKYZ7&P=7
