the reason i was askin here first is cause i live fiddy miles away from hobby shop.....

i went there this morning and got a stII prop, which fits in the shaft, and clears the boom by a couple mils, and i picked up a bunch of props for a flyzone swift flyer, which fit on the shaft and are pretty much exactlly the same size as the original prop..... ill wait till the rain quits and giver a try and come back and let yall know.

-- flies like dream with the stII prop.

i let er go. it went up, and away, and away, then it started "glitching" and went away, and away, i think the batt. in the controller was dying, i had to walk 1/4 mile to get it..... hahahahaaa....

my "first" flight.

not counting my 45 foot long flight into the hydro pole yesterday! little hot glue, and packing take, and as good as new.

what a hoot.

Hehe, sounds like you've got the right mind set for R/C flight, Ginnz! Packing tape and glue are your friends. :)

Glad the IIST prop worked so well for you. I'm looking forward to more tales of misadventure as you put your Scout through its paces.

well i finally flew the scout till the batterey died. any kind of breeze, i mean 3-4 kph winds and its hard to fly. i crashed it, i thought kinda lightly in my field in the back yard yesterday and the thing would would NOT fly after.

it seems the little board holding the reciever came loose, so the servos moved all the time , couldnt set it up. i ended up gluing the board in the fusealage with hot glue gun, and setting it up again, finally the wind died down to ZERO, then the thing flies, i got a full battery's flight in without a crash! it was a blast, sending it up, then gliding, i fouund out using a little input works the best, at first i was ramming the stick from side to side. like a 2 year old saws at the wheel of a car.... heheheheee.....

well i ordered a firebird IIST on ebay, and possably a challanger to play with.

after i get some practice in, then MAYBE ill try my 4 channel cessna 182.

sim time looks like its in order, i thought i'd just throw my cessna out there and fly it first try, but i dont think so anymore, i know ill kill it asap without stick time and practice.

since i last posted, i put it up in the trees a dozen times, even sawing one down to get it! doh!!! last night i broke the fuse "rod", snap.

i used a section from a graphite fishing rod i had lying around, the damn thing flies better than new. im still on my original wings, cause i covered em with packing tape, there tough. i lost my 3 hr wall charger, so i hooked up a 12 volt tricke charger to may battery, in 15 mins its warm/hot and runs excellent. dang this is fun little plane, IF there is NO wind.

friday i get my art-tech 4 channel cessna. that outta be interesting.

If you like the way it flies now, try adding an extra cell.
You can do divebombs and I have done 1 loop with it so far.

BEWARE>>>>>
Depending on the juice of the battery, it might fry the electronics. This is not recommended bt HobbyZone.

I have over 10 flights on one plane, and I only got 3 flights on my other one.

Have fun.
