how would i turn my emaxx into a rock crawler ? what mods?

i would recommend locking the front and rear diffs. and lower the gearing.

Check that site out....they have a section dedicated to the Maxx crawlers. Several guys have done it. They'd probably be very helpful.

Go with a set of traxxas spools to lock your diff. As for the motors you will need to dead short one of the motors you will know which one because if you hook a battery up to the Novak only one will power the truck, its kinda like the main power area. To dead short the novak just take a Tamiya connector and solder the pos/neg side together and hook it into the novak connector that doesnt have power. This allows for maximum power to the one motor. next change your gearing (I believe the spur and pinion) its been awhile. I cant really remember what gearing I used but the spur was really high and it only went about 3 mph, the thing would crawl up almost anything. Good luck and I hope this helps.
