Has anyone noticed how little room there is for the motor screws to go in, it seems like the screw holes aren't deep enough allowing only 2mm of screw thread to get in and secure the motor to the car, Is that normal on BL motors? it is my first BL motor.

That is how it is with the Lehner Basic motors. Many complain about it, and some have even stripped the holes or put the screws in so far that the windings got ruined. Not all BL motors are like this.

I run fatboy lunsford motor screws with a small washer slid on before to make sure not too much thread goes in.

You can always put the screws in slowly with very little strength. When the screw stops turning with the very little amount of force you use, you have hit the windings. What I do is I cut the screws down to the measured length (where it hits the windings), and I add a washer. I don't use a Lehner motor, but this is what I do with my Feigao motors.

oh yeah that's another way using a couple of washers to prevent possible damages...

Do feigao motors rip? the only thing I know about them is their low price!

Feigao motors have good torque, and overall are an excellent motor for their price.
