I know it's been a while since you posted this Jerry, but what did you hing the hatch door with? Looks like a nice setup. Got any recent pix?

Haven't worked on it for a long time....the hinge was, err, is two Dubro hinges.

I made a concealed compartment for radio switch and retract and charger plug in a Midwest Texan a while back. I used MonoKote as a release agent and laid up 4 layers of cloth on the side of the fuselage, popped it off and then cut the opening. I hinged it in place with BVM offset door hinges and I used a magnet to hold shut. Worked pretty good.

I was thinking of using a magnet for this one also.....the door 'handle' will have to be a bit non-scale so I can get my grimey fingers on it!
