I am looking at getting into 1/8 buggy racing. I have been in 1/10 stock truck for about 5 years and haven't had a gas car before. I was just wondering what would be a good first buggy. Thanks.

Well, if you are good at fixing things, a fast, racing buggy is the GS STORM RTR. If money is not an object, get a 7.5, but if you just want a solid buggy that doesn't require much maintenance, get and ofna gtlx or worlds

Hard to decide....I like newest Mugen 1/8 MBX-4XR 4WD and newest OFNA Hyper7. Which one is good car??
I was actually thinking about getting either one of those as well. After looking at things for a while, I've decided to get the Ofna Hyper 7. My reason for this is that I don't plan on doing much racing, jut running around on the street and parks. Even if I were to race, I would still take a hard look at the Hyper 7 since it looks to be a very competitive buggy. From what I've read online from different sources as well as from the vehicles forum, it seems that the Hyper 7 is on par with the MP7.5 and the MBX-XR. For about $50 less than the MBX-XR, you're getting a competitive buggy that comes with a pipe, manifold, and a torsen center diff that normally would cost you $100. It's still a hard decision to make. . if they were the same price. . .I'd have to do some more thinking. Good luck on your decision.

Cnk, Good thinking... I am thinking about OFNA more than Mugen..I never seen inside the MBX-4XR, I want to know what it looks like. I have seen pic of MBX-4XR in www.towerhobbies.com (http://www.towerhobbies.com) and it looks very nice car! I cant compare the inside the car of Ofna Hyper 7 and Mugen MBX-4XR. Ofna Hyper 7 looks awesome with nice parts.
If you pick up a copy of RC Car Action magazine, Mugen usually has a 2 page advertisement where they show the car without the body. Also, the latest Nitro magazine has a comparison of the MP7.5 Kanai, Ofna 9.5, Mugen MBX-XR, and the TTR EB-4. They have some pretty good pictures. Once you get up into that price range though, they're all pretty much the same in terms of what comes with the kits. It all comes down to personal preference.

Cnk, Thanks for input. I will subscribe both kind of magazines is RC Car Action and Nitro. That could help a lot to compare and research it. ;)
