Dynozone... you got alot of things to choose from... What are you running? stock or modified. Do you already have everything as far as a radio and batteries?

And is that $400 including the truck or $400 for the other items you mentioned..?

I just read your post on another thread.. You might want to consider the Team Built T3.. its only 159.99 at Stormers hobbies. It has most of the goodies that Factory Team has, minus a few. A good charger for little cash is the MRC Brain. I have one and it works great for what it is. 37.99 at Tower. A good alround speed controller is the Novak Dually.. Adjustable, and programmable for Stock and or Modified. 85.99 at Stormer. Batteries... Prices range.. The old saying is true.. you get what you pay for in this catagory. I have been buying 2400 on line used from alot of other racers. I get them for 25 to 35 bucks. These guys that race alot replenish there batteries every 3 months or so to stay on top. But for the average racer, these 3 month old batteries still work wonderfull. Gearing will depend on the motor.. Stock motors, you will want 19 to 21. Modified.. 17 to 19. It is a trial and err.. watch the motor temp. Good luck.

im not sure about the motor thing but im going to by a stock one because i know for beginners league itll be stock, seeing as how it costs 207 for the car at tower i figured i should be able to get all the stuff for 400,especially with the discounts they have.im thinking about the novak dually and the MRC brain, and then the p2k pro stock motor, now i just need to know what size pinion for a small flat oval and some battery recommendations,oh and should i just get a semi-cheap servo or do i need a really good one?thanks for the help

The battery, if charged with the brain, should get you about 5 to 6 min race time. I would really try to buy a matched pack battery, 2400 or better. I am using the 2400 with the dually, brain and p2k, and I can race for about 7 to 9 minutes on an off road track. Pinion and gearing is going to effect your run time as well, if your geared low for punch speed, you will eat up batteries when your at top speed. Check with the guys at the track for what size pinion to use. I run 19 on one track, 20 on another and 21 on the third. So depending on the race conditions, makes me change the pinion size.
