I just bought the Dynamite CVDs to put on my E-Maxx. I ready have the Traxxas spool diffs installed for 4x4 action. When I went to install the CVDs the holes for the spool and the CVD did not line-up. Is there a problem with this combination or with the CVDs. I heard that there were problems with Dynamite's production line and it was fixed. I ordered them from Stommer Hobbies, maybe they still have some that are wrong. I just wanted to know if anyone else has this problem. If not I'll send them back to Dynamite and try and get new ones.

If you have the ones with the red boots then you more than likely have an old set and they may be defective.I ordered mine from them direct and just got them and they had black boots. When I called and asked why they said it was a new production and these were being made with black boots and that they were going to change the pic on their site.Mine seem to line up ok though so thats about all I can tell you at this point. :D

Thanks JETFAN, Do you have the stock gear cases on your truck. I have Dynamite's purple cases. Do you thing they might be the problem. I spent 2 hours last night trying to get them to work. The ones I have do have the black boots so they should work. Any other ideas are appreciated.

I ordered them, and 3 out of 4 would not work, for the same reason. The pin hole does not line up. I e-mailed them, and have phoned them and have been promised 3 seperate times they would send me replacements and after nearly 4 weeks I am still waiting and have made 4 phone calls.
They also are not aluminum, and I tolfd them that and they said they would change their ad on their website, but they still advertise them as aluminum when in fact they are steel.
I also advised them they may be sending out lots of bad CVD's and that has apparently been the case. Lots of message boards have post about the Dynamite CVD's not fitting, all due to the drive cups not lining up properly.

Hey Old Phart, could you send me the phone number that you have been calling and I will give it a try. I have the feeling that I should go to my LHS to get new ones and see if they work. If they do then return the old ones in the new packaging and receipt since the manufacturer does not care about the people that buy there stuff!!!!!!! I now have about $600 of Aluminum hop-ups sitting here waiting to finish my E-Maxx project.

Yesterday I talked to Horizon Hobbies about the Dynamite CVDs that I purchased from Stormmer Hobbies. I talked to a guy named Travis and he told me to send back my defective drive cups that did not line-up. He told me that he had some sitting on his work bench and he would send me off a corected ones after he receives the broken ones. Old Phart told me that he heard the same story about 2 weeks ago and he is still waiting. I just thought everyone should know about this BIG PROBLEM.

Yep, 1 e-mail, and 3 phone calls. 3 promises from Horizon that they would send me replacements for the faulty drive cups. It has been a total of over a month now since my first contact with them. And it has been a week and a half since I last talked to them on the phone and was promised that this time for sure they would send the replacements.
Well, I know Horizon Hobby has a warehouse in Calif and normally they get to my house in 2 days max. I am getting more and more the feeling I have been s-c-r-e-w-e-d.

Update:
OK, today Friday, is now 12 days since I last called them on the phone and was promised "this time for sure" some replacements.
Horizon Hobby has just been written off my list of companies to ever do business with again. It has been a full month and 3 phone calls; 3 promises; and still no replacements! It took them overnight to send the parts the first time from a local Calif warehouse.
I am now going to send back everything and get a refund and forget I ever heard about Dynamite CVD's!
