11.1v 3s li-po too much for Feigao 380 8s?

I think I 'm going to go li-po after all. Will the 380 8s be able to handle this much voltage or should I go with the 9s? My main concern is heat, but I would like to reach speeds of 50 mph in a xxx4. Is 55,000 rpm too much for a 400 size motor? That would get me to 53 mph with a 10.4 final drive ratio.

The 8S has been flown on 3S but not road tested. I think the 9S is a better choice......but stay tuned.

I've ran a 9s on 12 cells (14.4v) a couple of times in the past, this setup was really fast, had good runtime too :)
