Hey, I know questions like this have been posted, but I was wondering how much like a sheet of anodized aluminum would cost. Something that I could like make a brace out of. Give some more strength to different areas of the car and add a transponder mount. If any of you have done the same post some pics. Also how hard would it be to cut, drill and bend the stuff? Thanks for answering.

The only problem with an anodized sheet is that when you cut it, it won't be colored where you cut, grinded, or polished it. Your best bet would be to buy plain aluminum and make your parts out of that and then send it in to have all the parts anodized. A full car would cost about $60. So if you just made a brace or two, transponder mount and another one or two parts it will probably be around $40.

A fully aluminum anodized car.... That would be spiffy. Anyways, thanks for the help.

www.mcmastermaster.com (http://www.mcmastermaster.com) great supplier and they have descriptions of different types of alum. Oh. you can buy smaller sheets that are "samples". like 12 x 12. othewise they get bigger and more expensive.

To anodize it, you can buy your own anodize kit and anodize the aluminum in every colour you want. It is pretty expensive though, check it out at http://www.caswellplating.com

BozzzZ - very cool kit. I've seen them before. I actually ordered one to test, so I'll let you know how it works out. Not sure this is the type of stuff your want to have in your basement, especially if you live at home. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
