What makes R/C so cool

I was first attracted to the RC hobby by the speed of the cars, then I got to know how complicated they are compared to TOY RC cars, so I decided to get into it and got myself a car and then before I knew it I was hooked into this.

The racing and challenge is what thrills me the most from being in this hobby.

It's also cool to put together a car that smokes your friends cars. That's ALWAYS cool.

what makes it cool, the fact that your driving a car wayyyyyyy over thier from right here, the fact that you can drive a 5 ound hunk-o-aluminum going 40mph, or maby the fact that when you jump a 1/10 truck 10 feet and think aboiut it, you would be jumping a real truck 100 feet....

Redfrick said it just having the feeling of accomplishmint when u spend an evening or two building something that acctually runs!Well the mud pit in my backyard makes it better too but also the INSANE SPEED!!!!!i love em because u have full control over a fast as **** chunk of metal(I just love the feeling when u hit a jump going full throttle then landing it without breaking it! i mean **** these little cars take a beating and they still want more! i love the power of a nitro car ,flying past at full speed,jaming on the brakes,just the genral fun of building,rebuilding,making mods to the cars..and the close fast racing ,thats what i love about R/C cars..

It has to be the definite versatility of all the types of cars out there, from the HIGHLY fast pan cars to the ULTIMATE BAHEMOTHS of 1/4th. One other thing that really got me was all the different styles of tracks and conditions, you have to actually tune the car to hook up right at the track. Kinda like real life racing. what got me into (again.. I toyed with a RC10T my brother made) was the cool pics in rccaraction... not trying to brownnose here.. but their mag is top notch.. I was looking thru my standard car mags at the books store and accidently pick up rccaraction and wow.. (at first i thought it was a real car mag.. ha).. I saw the bodies and was like whoa.. and then saw how trick they've become.. boought a T-Maxx, got another RC10B.. and then a tamiya ta04.. its fun.. I get to drive and race cars I can't afford in real life.. thats the nice part
