While racing on Saturday Night, I configured my U Force so I could run in both the Open Class- Brushless as well as Stock electric.. In Between races I rushed it a bit while switching the motor to stock . I had the positve controller to battery wire going to + on the battery, the 3 phase wires hooked up to the motor negative side and instead of plugging the negative controller to battery wire into the battery pack I have accidently plugged the + motor wire into the battery pack (and left the negative controller to battery wire unplugged) short circuting both the controller and motor :o . The schotty diode on the motor exploded  . The U Force still operates but seems to have developed cogging when applying throttle  . I am certain that this cogging was not present before, apart from that the controoler still operates OK .
On the good side I had a win against the pro nitro tourers :) . I also bolted my hacker C40 -6 in for 1 run and I am sure the feigao 380-6 was slightly faster . Any help would be greatly appreciated .
Daniel

Have you smelled your U-Force during a run? Something that might smell like smoke is a good indicator of a blown part that could tell you if maybe something got fried and is causing the controller to cog.

You should pick up a cheap brushed controller for running stock. Use velcro to attach the speed controls into the car.
