I have lots of photos from this past weekends 1000 Islands Poker Run and I can't figure out how to post them. If I can get some clear instructions on how to do this I will post them.
I think you will like what you will see :)

The image size is limited to 80K, otherwise some people would be uploading 2 meg images when there's no need for it. Cut the image down to 72 DPI - a computer screen will not display any higher resolution than that, so it's a waste to post a 300 DPI image. If you cut it down to 72 dpi, about 700 pixels in the largest dimension, and set the image quality to about 4 or 5 on a scale of 1 to 12 (Photoshop), then the image will come in way under 80k.
You can also lower the resolution with the standard windows photo software. When you select "save as" there should be a "more" option. Select that, and there should be a photo quality selection bar. Cropping and making the image smaller in size are also good ideas.
If all else fails you could always use a online picture hosting software from http://www.imageshack.us/ or another place like photobucket.

how can I just upload images from my computer to the forum....
I tried that Imageshack program and when I go to My Photos, none of the pics are there..

I use some freeware from Kodak that I can resize and crop pix with plus it has some other tricks that you can use. If you have a digital camera, most come with their own software for editing.

well I've tried several times now to upload pics to the forum and it does not seem to want to work for me. If someone who can do this wants to help me out, I can add you to my msn and send a zip file with photos and you can post them for me. There are some pretty amazing boats at this event.

Ok, I have sent the pics to Chris, 5 zip files worth, he can go through them all and decide which ones to post..
