I have a problem that seems to be getting worse. At certain spots where I fly my motor would stop for a few seconds...same spots every time. Now it seems my elevator and airerons are spiking for a few seconds. Radio is 72 mhz fm type Parkflyer. Do you think that its just a cheap receiver and a better receiver would work ok? There is a pager tower operating around 150 mhz 3/4 miles away. Could it be harmonics from pager tones? Any suggestions?

Hi JJ,
Chances are the problem is the simple receiver that was furnished with your airplane operating in a harsh RF environment. A dual conversion receiver from a well known company would go a long ways to solving this problem. one of the favorites is the Hitech 555, small and light enough to fit in a park flyer. Tower Hobbies carries them www.towerhobbies.com I have had good experience with these.
Cheers, Dave
