Interested in getting started in RC Airplane hobby. Does anyone know of a book or site on the web that is an introduction to the hobby with explanations of terms, etc ? All the reading I've been able to do so far seems like its written in Russian. I have located a club, which I plan to join, but would like to educate myself a little. Any help would be arrpreciated.

Hi oldjake, Try the website "International List of Scale Model Related Web Sites". If it has to do with RC this website has info on it. You can also watch for a program on the DIY Network that deals only with RC modeling. Well, Good Luck in your search for "INPUT". "Keep your wings level. wesleyp47

Hi OldJake
The local club I'm joining has a website with alot of great info for beginners. The club seems to cater alot to beginners, they might not be in your area, but you could use the info " www.rrcc.org" Good luck and lots of happy flying

Not to be self promoting, but I wrote this book several years ago and it is available at www.RCStore.com might be what you are looking for. Starts from AMA card, and basic construction, to First flight and engines and hardware. Radios to ARFs and more.
