I just came up with a good way to get magnetic debri off my rotor. When ever I would took my Lehner 4200 apart. There would always be a lot of junk stuck to the rotor. It was enough that you could feel the junk when spinning the motor by hand.

Stuff seems to get in no matter how well you seal it up. It's actually quite simple, just use duct tape. It works good. I've tried other ways but, always had a hard time getting the fine stuff off. There may be other ways but this way works pretty good.

Those magnets are strong!

I have a lehner 5300 that's about 6 battery packs old, is it time to take apart? if so how do you do it? mine came without instructions...

I wouldn't take it apart unless a bearing goes bad or it feels gritty when you hand spin the motor. I used mine off road quite a bit. Probably 50-60 runs before I had to take mine apart. After that, I took it apart to clean after about every 30 runs or more.

I just blast it with my air compressor, and it cleans 90% of the junk out. Then use a cotton swab with a little alcohol to clean any leftover dirty spots.
