Im thinking of moving up from my t-maxx to a revo but really dont like the size of it. Im wondering if any one out there has found a wideing kit for it yet? I would like to go 2-3 inches longer and 2-2.5 wider. any tips on places to look would be great thanks

There are 3 conversion kits that I know of. All of them fix all of the things you've listed, and more!

Conversion Kit 1 (http://www.horizonhobby.com/Shop/ByCategory/Product/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSB0010)

Conversion Kit 2 (http://www.horizonhobby.com/Shop/ByCategory/Product/Default.aspx?ProdID=TAM43508X)

Conversion Kit 3 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLDK3&P=ML)

Of the three conversions, I'd choose number 3. Number 2 would be my second choice, and number 1 would be my third choice. All of them are sweet though, you couldn't possibly go wrong with any of them.

:D Indeed. A very good conversion kits :p If you are racing and a bit of bashing I choose conversion kit number 2 ;)

LOL I wet myself a bit!!! I do like the LST and the AE but neither have the trick suspension of the revo. I work in a machine shop and am thinking of making the chassis/a-arms my self and then some how working in the LST shocks cause they look mean!

yup, conversion kit 2 is the hot ticket. and hey it save's ya $475 =P

the revo's a good truck. but its not the end all, be all of monster-truckdom that the traxxas floosies make it out to be. If you yourself are one of these traxxas floosies dont take it personaly.

Give me properly set up powerstrokes that come with the TNX pro over the unique, but not new to RC, F1 style shock system the revo has. As a bonus you get race worth wheels/tires with a engine thats more powerfull and easier to tune.

I do have to say the 2.5r is a pain in the rear to tune

The revo is more fun to drive, but I realized a while back the reason why I drive my Revo more than my LST is because my LST drives perfect. Sounds crazy, eh? The LST is so dang predictable and drives so smooth that you hardly have to even show up to get it around the track. It is SO easy to drive and get around with that you almost get bored.

Great for racing, boring for bashing. That's why I drive my Revo more. It's less controlled on it's own, but overall more controllable in the end (hard to explain).

After a few days with the REVO, I fire up the Collari in my LST and the revo seems slow for at least 2 days until i get back used to driving it, but it is still more fun overall.

An LST with a brick of power is the race truck to have. A Revo with any reasonably good motor is the basher of the century, and a good race truck too.

I have an LST, the shocks are probably the best I've eever seen in an MT. I just bash with the LST, I don't have a track to race it on anyways. My bro has a Savage 25. they rock. The revo looks alright, but if you ask me the shocks look gimicky. I think traxxas did that more as a look at what we did, it's different than hey this works better. If you ask me I don't think the LST should be penalized for working right though. Of course, like I said I don't race, and I'm always doing stupid stuff with it, so I guess I don't have a problem with it's perfection. But hey, that's just my humble opinion, if you like the revo more, by all means get the revo!

if you widen the revo, you'll hurt it's turning capability. that's why they make the wabash rims so that you keep the same track width as the stock wheels rather than making it wider with a set of velocities that have a different offset. from driving mine on the track, i think it's wide enough. it's got about the same width as a savage.

gimicky? hardly. they are awesome performing shocks. the plastic ends are a little week, but baring that, they're just as good as any other MT shock out there. don't knock it till you own it! ;)

well I went out and bought a Revo from my LHS not a bad truck but not a great one either. I just got done ordering an LST that should be here monday so this way I guess I get the best of both worlds. Any way to put the LST shocks on the revo that would be grand

Any way to put the LST shocks on the revo that would be grandnope. not with out some serious modifications. you'd have to put some type of shock towers on the truck, then you're talking about rasing the CG of the truck.

won't fit. diameter is larger and the LST shocks are about twice as long.

I just sold my Revo for 300.00-- I liked it but I also hated it. I prefer my T-maxx over it for sure. I know this sounds weird but I think I want a savage. The LST just doesn't do it for me but I do love the big shocks

I had a blast with my LST today. Dang Revo looked like it was barely moving afterwards though......lol. I gotta remember to drive the Revo first.

I'm sure they do work at least as well, I didn't say they didn't work, I was just saying that I didn't think they were better than most MT shocks. I think that traxxas did it to get people to check it out, and not neccesarily because they work better. But, then again, I don't own one, they could be the best setup ever.

Yeah, you never replied to my email asking if I could pick up the truck instead of having it shipped! Oh well.

The Revo is a great truck, but for racing it needs to be extended about 2 inches. The F1 style shock system is cool looking, but it adds alot more parts which is just more stuff to break. I started to make a more traditional style suspension ( new arms, shock towers) but got sidetracked with other projects.
