parma bodies-opions wanted!

hey gang!i am working on another body,its for my blitzer beetle.anyway its a new one made by parma.the body looks exactly almost like the monster beetle/blitzer beetle body.i just finished prepping the body:cut it out,washed it,put on window masks!

the thing i dont like about it is,it very flimsy!very thin!it not as thick as a pro line body,hpi, even bolink bodies are thick!also when cutting it was like cutting paper but the body lines were hard to see a little.i also didnt like the window masks eaither.i am not rying to bad mouth parma but i think the bodies should be a bit thicker!

anybody feel the same way????? :confused:

I have never worked with the parma shells as of yet, but I have seen a guy that ran them and killed two bodies in one day of racing.

I Killed two Parma blazer shells! Hell I riped the front bumper clean off at the track last Sat. Parma shells are thin but Light. I think parma offers better selection of shells but they Are WEAKER!

I have a Parma Willy's body and I never noticed that it was thin. I've had it for over 2 years. Also I did a WRC Corrolla and it seemed fine as well...

Fester, could you do me a favour? I just bought that body off of Ebay and was wondering if you could give me some measurements off of it.

Could you measure the width at the wheelwells and also the length from the very tops of the wheel wells? and if you have time, from the back of the front wheel well to the front of the back wheel well.

hey obitron-from the top of the wheel wells from center to center is 10 inches

from the back of the front wheel well to the beginning of the back 1 is 6 inches

i juts noticed the paint mask for the sunroof is smaller than the 1 on the car but from the photo looks like i misalighned it but when u look at it straight,i guess they amde it bigger to customize?

this vw bug body also came with a wing but i am not using it at all, i like the plain bug look

I am soooo exited. Those are the exact dimentions I need for my project! I am putting a beetle body on my RS4 rally that I have put Tamiya S10 rims and tires on. It will look just about like your sand scorcher!
