I want to buy an new engine for my(sadly completelyt stock) t-maxx 2.5 with out spending alot of money. I was thinking of a sirio s23 for the t-maxx or a sirio .18. Also are either of these engines or any ones that anyone suggest going to break anything in my transmission or drive shafts.

The .23 might bust some parts with all its power. With the .18 you should be safe though. I didn't break a thing on my maxx with the .18 until I ported and polished it :D (you might need to upgrade to alum. diff. cups with 3mm screws eventually)
The new OS .18 TZ maxx engine would be another good choice :D

Well, I have read that the OS is an awesome engine. I don't know if you can buy the Maxx Edition Sirio with slide carb anymore.

OS .18 TM (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHLW0&P=ML)

Sirio .18 Maxx (http://www.discounthobbies4u.com/catalog/trinity_sirio_3_0__18_t-maxx_nitro_engine_3209990.htm) You want the one with slide carb.
I don't know how reputable this site is though. :o

IMO, the OS will be my next engine if I don't decide to retire my Maxx and move onto a Revo.

I love the OS .18TM I have it in a t-maxx but haven't even fired it yet. I run the one in the revo all the time. Sure beats the 2.5

i have the sirio .18. it is a screamer, i havent broken a drivetrain part because of it either. easy to tune, and it hold one like a dream. cant go wrong with it. i recomend getting the sirio bigbore pipe and motor saver 2.5 filter also.

my new motor has to have alot of low end grunt because i hill climb alot and do some serouis off roading at low speeds but at the same time i have my own track and 3 acres to run it on so i want it to be fast. i think the o.s. would be perfect. also what type of tire could i get to better grip with the new horse power the motors will have my favorit company is proline and i don't think i want 40 series tire because they are big and heavy not good for a already stress trans, diffs, and drive shafts.
