An idea is to put a little wax paper over your work area. Use old cardboard etc. Something that you can easily throw away. You know, common sense type of stuff you'd consider such as when painting. If you get a drip on a hard / smooth surface you can wipe quickly & it'll come up right away. Inside the hull if you get a few drips here & there that are not wanted, again give it a quick wipe & she's good. Worst case, a little sand paper cures everything. :D

Btw, most of the time if its small, my finger tips get used but do have a rag or two handy. Hope thats in the ball park of your question as you don't give much from there.

Good ole, cheap rubbing alcohol works real good for cleaning up uncured epoxy. I use it all the time to clean up my glue mess :D .

I do use Acetone for cleanup but for thinning I use styrene.

I'm serious about the rubbing alcohol for uncured epoxy cleanup. I wasn't smart enough to figure this out on my own. I bought a Hobbico ARF airplane about 4 yrs ago and the assembly instructions said to clean up the uncured epoxy with regular rubbing alcohol. I tried it and it works like a charm :D . Very, very cheap and doesn't have the toxic smell of most solvents. It'll just smell like a medical clinic :D .

I wouldn't use it for thinning epoxy, though. I've used denatured alcohol but there seems to be plenty of options for thinning. For all I know, you could successfully use rubbing alcohol  .

Gotta be careful of some of the rubbing alchohol , you can use for clean up , but most of seems to have water as an ingrediant, you can't use it to thin epoxy if it has water in it. Check the label.
