Ok I havent put paint to a body in a long time about 6 months, I pretty much do bodies now for friends and lucky folk I have all but removed my self from doing any RC racing or comercial body painting. That said I still love to paint and this body has a lot behind it. For your viewing pleasure....

Wow, that's pretty sweet. I like the colors and paint scheme. Now I'm curious, what do people need to do to be the "lucky folk" eh? I've never seen a actual R/C funny car though. Looks great!

Just wondering, how long did it take to do that body, and how long have you been paintin (in total)?

time frame on the body total including fuel proof light blocker and a bit of design work for the body about 2 hours total +- a half hour. I have been painting too long. 10+ years.

tweakedbronco- Absolutly right on the head. The buddy I did this for loves that movie and His additude in general fits perfectly. Thanks for all the compliments. I enjoy them greatly. I hope that you all take a part of this and are inspired to go do some of your own killer bodies. I have won the best paint to many times to enter again.

Integra, I've been a huge fan of your work since I started lurking on the site. As always, you work is exceptional. If you take a look at the paint contest, things have changed a bit. I know you've won several times in the past, but this time you're competing against your peers (pro's) instead of the lot. But, it's up to you.

Good to see you still laying paint down.

Integra; at one point I was goint to stop painting but then I saw your buggy design where it looks like a beat up war ship. That inspired me to paint. I can honestly say that because of you and your artistic style I have continued on painting and refining my own skills. I love that body and all the previous ones. The colors you choose are always top notch!! Nice to see you again

I was told my new car was being displayed here :) I can't believe the car. Just like the top fuel rail body integra painted for me its just incredible. Brought tears to my eyes just like the first one did :) I should have it on the track this weekend in San Antonio Tx at LiteSpeed Raceway. Its chassis is a 10-12 cell GMS funny car chassis. Should go in the 1.9 sec range for the 1/10 scale quarter mile (132 ft). The rail body won concours at the Verizon Spring Shootout this year. And its visited the podium 3 times this summer. There should be plenty of pics of this car on the clubs website after this weekend. www.sadragracing.com is the address if you want to see this "Animal" in action. Yes its Animal House all the way and yes I was Bluto in College. Never quite graduated but I had a GOOD time. Glad I found this forum lots of good information and good people who share techniques etc. A very good thing in my opinion.

Wow! that is some incredible stuff, nice work!

I'm not sure if people who don't paint can see how much work is really in those? Very Nice!

I'll would post a pic of a funny car I did, in Masami colors a little while back...not on the same level, but there are funny cars out here, but it's too much bandwidth and i'm sleepy......haha.......Jim

Here is the completed funny car. All ready to run its first race next weekend. Our club is involved with the Grand Opening of a new custom bike and paint shop in San Antonio Texas next weekend. Rock Music, Cool Custom Bikes and Cars, Nitro Harley Drag Bikes, and last but not least R/C drag racing. We even have a race between the drag bike and one of the top fuel cars for 66 feet on tap. Wanna bet who wins :) The top fuel car will cross the 66 ft mark in just over a second :) I'll tell you actually putting scissors to this awsome body took some time. I was skered man :) But it all turned out fine. Its mounted with two sections of aluminum between the mounting posts covered with industrial strength velcro. No holes. I have a spektrum system so the antenna doesn't show either. Integra you the man!!! Can anyone tell me how you get the big images in messages. This is about as big as it would allow me to upload.

Actually I didn't paint it. Integra painted it for me. I just mounted it onto the chassis.
