i am making a custom shock tower for my tamiya tt-01 which i am modifying into an offroader.I am wondering what are the shock lenghts available? would i be able to change the lenghts easily? the shocks i need would be about 3 to 3 1/2 inch uncompressed. any shocks availale that size or any shocks that i can adjust to that size?
thanks.

From end to end the front shocks on my rustler are about 1 or 2 mm past 3 1/2 inches.

would you be able to shorten them, when it would be necessary

The only way i know would be to cut some of the threads off the shock shaft so you can thread it in the rod end more. and you might could make the hole in the rod end deeper by drilling it out just a little so you could thread it in even more. I'm sure you could get it under 3 1/2 inches.

You can use Kyosho Orange o-rings or shock pistons. Push the shock shaft out through the top of the shock push one or the other down untill it is up against the shock piston that's already on there. Then put them back in. That'll limit your shock travel (length)
