Ok is the SLE worth the extra 100 +or- bucks over the .25?

pipe is better. 3 speed is a waste, breaks too much. 4 gear diffs better than the 2 in the 25. dual disc brakes is nice. dirt bones tires are much better than 25's GT tires. servo saver is better. HD dogbones are better.
even putting the 3 speed out of the equation, all the other upgrades required for the 25 would cost well over $100 to make it equal to the limited edition. so yes, i'd say it's worth it. i bought the .25 last spring and i upgraded everything to make it better, and then they come out with the new kits that have all the things that i upgraded, but where i spent several hundred dollars in upgrades, it only costs ~$100 for the better kit.

I would get the 4.6 Kit savage it has Alum pipe, 4 gear diffs, adjustable camber and steering tie rods, all the other good stuff just without the 3 speed and reverse module which is just more stuff to have to fiddle with IMO.

The 4 spider gear conversion is in ALL Savages now, as is the cam-type servo saver. They've been including both in the box for months now. They're not installed, but the parts are included in the box so that you can do it yourself.
As for whether or not it's worth it...well...that depends. For me, no. One of the selling points of the Savage is that it's cheaper than most other monsters. I wouldn't pay over 500 dollars for a Savage, no matter what it came with. If I'm going to spend that sort of money, I'll buy an LST, or a Giga Crusher.
The three things that make the biggest difference are the tranny, the tires, and the pipe. I don't care about the pipe, it's nice, and infinitely better than the standard 25's pipe, but a THS is still better. The tires are cool...and those, plus the wheels are 80 dollars seperately, so if you want those instead of the GT tires, it's worth the money. If you want the three speed, it's worth the money.
Personally, I don't care about a 3 speed, I don't care about the pipe, and while I really like the tires, I'm not about to pay 100 dollars extra for them. The HD driveline components still wear out and/or break a lot if you use the hell out of your truck...and really...why would you buy a Savage unless you planned to beat the hell out of it? So...those are garbage, if you want bulletproof, you've gotta be willing to spend the coin on CVD's, so why pay extra for them if you're just going to throw them away eventually anyways?
What I'd do is buy the standard RTR and the Motorsaver's filter, and then go rally the hell out of it. I'd discover what I break (different people break different things depending on their driving style and such), and then upgrade from there. More than likely I'd be buying MIP CVD's, and maybe better shocks (I like air...a lot). A THS pipe would probably go on right out of the box as well, as it's probably the best pipe on the market for the Savage. I'd just keep on rallying it until I blew up the stock engine or toasted the clutch. I'd probably go for the Mugen aluminum clutch shoes since they're cheaper, but the HPI aluminum shoes are nice too, if a bit pricey ($35). I'd run the stock engine into the ground, and then buy a Picco .27.

Yes i think the SLE is worth that extra money as all the mods are already done or all in the box awaiting for you to put on.
If you add up how much the extras would cost to fit on a sav 25 or 25ss it would work out alot more than the extra you are paying on the SLE believe me has i have done it with 1 of my savages 25ss.
You will not be dissappointed with the SLE

yes and yes. the 3 speed tranny's are weak from talking to retailers that are selling tons of replacement parts. you don't really get any more top speed (not noticible), you just have more acceleration. the shift points are very touchy too and can be a pain to adjust.
