Hi, My names Mitch and I`ve just bought an rc plane. Having never built one, i am stuck??
I have a Jumper 25, I have nearly built the whole thing but i don`t know how to conect the push rods for the ailerons to the control arms of the servo or aileron??
the rod has a thread on one end, where the (clevis??) goes, the other end is plain rod. The other connector is a nylon thing that clips onto the rod. The rod is 185mm but the gap between the servo and the control arm of the aileron is only about 95mm. Do i cut and bend the rod to attach to the servo or I am missing a simple solution??
Thankyou for your help.
Mitch

If nobody has helped this is what you do.

1. Put the servo in and make sure it's in its final position.
2. screw the clevis on to a point where you have about 1/8 inch inside the clevis. Gives adjustment, and insures that it will not come offf in flight.
3. Clip the clevis to the control horn
4. Align the control rod from the control horn to the Servo arm hole.
5. Make a mark on the control horn where the control horn passes over the hole in the servo arm that you are going to use.
6. Remove the rod from the control horn, and make a 90 degree bend at the mark created in step 5.
7. Clip the bent rod so that about 1/4 inch will go through the hole in the servo arm.
8. Enlarge the hole in the servo arm so that the rod will fit snug, little binding, and hopefully no slop.
9. Put the bent part through the servo arm, then through the Quick Link hole, then snap the Quik Link over the Control rod.

I've attached an image, kind of fuzzy, but perhaps will help.
