Hi:

Have you ever seen those tiny toy RC speed boats, less than 4 in. long, with two independent props (two channels)? They come in 3 flavours: 27, 40 and 49 mhz.

I bought 2, 40 and 49 mhz, in order to use both RX in my last model, a microsub (made from a Roll-on deodorant for women); two horizontal props push the sub, one vertical prop for depth. But the 49 TX seems to interfere the 40 RX; both RX are connected in parallel to the same battery pack (no room for more), I added an electrolitic and ceramic capacitor to each RX. When I make the vertical motor run (driven by the 49 RX), one of the horizontal motors (driven by the 40 RX) spins intermitently.

Is it a radio related problem? Should I use 27+40, 27+49, what do you think?

Thanks
Robert

I would guess that it's not the frequencies interfering. That just doesn't happen very easily. That said, I don't have enough experience with deoderant container mini subs to know for sure what the problem is! :)

You prabably have "cross-talk" somewhere in the sub or the Tx. The only thing I can suggest is to make sure all wires and such are as isolated as possible. It's not very likly that you would have interference from 40 Mhz to 49 Mhz, they are quite far apart as far as interferencee is concerned. I'd bet you have a wiring problem in your sub.

Does the rx battery you have in there (I"m guessing it's a single battery that was meant for 1 set of the original electronics); have enough energy to power both sets of electronics? That is your other possible cause of malfunction; if not the interferrence via. radio or electrical signal related.

I suggest you bench test with a beefier battery and see if you still get them glitches.
