Tell us more about your track! What about Touring Cars? What size is it? Also, looking at the map, it looks more like 2 hours from Asheville. Is there a quicker way than off 26 near Johnson City? Thanks... and good luck!
Bob

[B]THANK YOU FOR INQUIRING. I GREW UP IN MARS HILL, WHEN I TRAVEL TO ASHEVILLE FROM GREENEVILLE TN I TRAVE HWY 70 TO WEAVERVILLE. THERE IS ONLY A FEW MILES OF THIS ROAD THAT IS NOW 4 LANE OR AT LEAST A IMPROVED WIDE 2 LANE. IT IS ABOUT 1 HOUR THIS WAY. I HAVE 3 DRIVERS THAT COME OVER FROM MORGANTON ABOUT EVERY WEEK. THEY SAY IT TAKES THEM ABOUR 2:20. THEY TRAVEL I-26. TO ERWIN TN THEN STATE ROUTE 81 TO HWY 107.

AS FAR AS TOURING WE ARE OPEN TO TOURING CARS. WE ARE VERY INTERESTED IN GETTING A TOURING SERIES STARTED. BUT DONT HAVE ANYONE IN THIS AREA WITH ANY EXPERIENCE TO GUIDE US. AT LEAST THEY HAVENT CAME FOWARD. WE HAVE STARTING RUNNING MINI's AND HAVE PUT SOME BARRIERS IN FOR THEM. EVERYONE SEEMS TO ENJOY THIS. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Allan A, when do you guys race? I'd like to get by there and check things out. I do have a friends old Legends car collecting dust under my workbench.
We do have about 10-12 guys with touring cars here in the Asheville area that are always looking for more places to race.

I would really like to check it out too. I race in Asheville with Bob (oldschoolrcracer) and tallyrc. Do you have any pictures of the track?

Some of us here in Asheville would like to take a run over to check things out.
I know you have been emailing tallyrc (Jason), and have some of the details of us all here.
We have about 5 or 6 Modified Touring Cars (w/brushless systems) and a couple of TCs with 19 turn motors.
There are also a couple of 1/12th scale cars, and a 1/10th scale pan car in our group.
We were talking at our race today about racing there with you all , perhaps a night during midweek if you are doing that.
Is there a good time to drop by, and see some open practice or a race?
Bob

what is your "pan car" class? is that10th or 12th scale? open mod, stock, 19t? as bob said, we need to just take a field trip over to check it out...

Alright I found the pictures... I had to register first. Anyways it looks really nice but is it just oval all the time or was it just put in an oval configuration for the Oval Masters race? Either way it should be fun.
