I was wondering if anyone can post their experiences with the Airtronics MX-3 radio gear set, specifically I'm wondering if I'll get any interference problems or not, comapred to a 40mhz AM "Swana Dash Saber" radio gear set. Is it a comfortable controller to use? That sort of things.
Thanks.

Hard to guess about interference problems. They can be caused by a myriad of factors.
I have a MX-3, which I now use as spare radio for a couple of basher trucks. It's a great radio, very simple and easy-to-use. It basically has almost all the functions that I would ever want. I went from the MX-3 to a JR XS-3, and my next move (this winter) will be to Spektrum or Nomadio.
Unless you're a hardcore racer, the MX-3 will be perfectly suitable.

I have it and I really like it a lot, its a good radio for bashing, and I also use it for racing sometimes.

its an awesome radio. only thing i would do is switch i think the throttle trim and steering something buttons. other than that its great. and the buttons are no big deal at all anyway.

good for club racing and an excellent step up from RTR radio gear. I have used it on the following cars:
TC4
TA04
Emaxx (shift into second gear!)
RC10B3
Nitro TC3 (won't trust this car to anythig LESS than that MX-3!!!)
So right now I have it set up to run both my NTC3 and TC4 for racing. You can have multiple models stored in memory. Just get a few more receivers. To be honest I just take one receiver crystal out of one car and put it into another. I do have multiple receivers though so I don't have to use servo tape all the time. Velcro would work but the possibility of the receiver coming out is greater!

Sounds good, well I picked one up for $61 "as new" condition, I plan to use it in all my models, I use an RC10GT radio tray with the servo held to that, so i only gotta unplug the servo's/esc and move it to any of my cars (using velcro), the arial is built into the tray.
Will see how well it fares when it turns up, looking forward to using a wheel type controller again I must admit, my radio is one thing I've never spent any real money on, I always find something else to spend it on.

I have the JR radio in my storm, and my wife has the AIR in here GT 10 and T-Maxx, and my opinion is either radio is very good quality, i dont think you can wrong either way!
