I think this may be of interest to post some current graphs (amps) of some various chargers , hopefully it will be organised well.

No li-po's for now, just nickle batts. Please post any ideas as I will attempt to capture and produce a graph if I have the equipment available.

Here's the "famous" 969 MRC superbrain with the current set at 2 amps chargeing a 6 cell 2/3A. Temp max was about 108 deg F.

Notice that at 100 and about 600 seconds into the charge I started pushing the display buttons and it causes the current to drop, if you are quiet you can hear the fan slow down when pushing buttons during the charge.

Triton charger set at 5 amps (left side) temps at 113 deg F
Notice that triton charger stops to do a open voltage check every minute.
Very interesting spikes however that I had not noticed b-4.
Current (while chargeing) is very rock steady and smooth.

Here's the duratrax digital pulse charger with 9 cells at 3 amps.

Battery (nicad) very cool all the way thru.

one restart in the beginning (typical with these old nicads)

pretty stable thruout the whole charge, more erratic than triton or ice, far better than the superbrains.

NIMH mode when top-off is selected it seems to cancel the trickle charge.
Set to 5 amps (only will charge around 3 amps at 7 volts)
5 minute delay put in between.

top-off current for 20 minutes and 300 ma.

Triton in NIMH mode and the top-off disabled (none) automatically switches to trickle current. It happens to use the nicad selection table.
Setting was 5 amps, but can only do around 3 or slightly more because it was only 5 cells.
