I have an airtronics M8 and my friend has a traxxas AM, both on 27mhz, im on 27.045, he is on 27.095, and his truck goes nuts when i turn on my radio, yet his radio does not bother my stuff at all. I know that since mine is fm it rejects signal interference much better than his am but they are two seperate freqs, so whats the problem???

Pretty much just the cheapo radio he's using, AM radios are MUCH mroe prone to interference than any other kind of radio, to the point that even electrical noise from nearby power lines, C/B radios, & many other things that can generate electrical noise(even a bit of noise from your own radio, doesn't matter that it's on FM, it can still generate some noise that radios on other nearby frequencies can "hear"). If I were him, I'd definitelky consider upgrading that Traxxas radio to something that's a bit better at filtering out the noise(& there are plenty of good FM radios that are also pretty easy on the wallet)....

I have powerline that runs across my backyard toward the rear of my yard. I've had 2 traxxas TQ3 radios and both were affected by the powerlines. Everytime I ran with either radio (they were diff freq), I would have prob. It would wait until I got a little closer to the poles, then it would freak out. I learned real quick exactly where I could drive and where I couldn't and what a failsafe was all about.

I switched to FM and have not had another prob.

ive noticed the 27mhz am gets lots more interference than the 75mhz am.ive seen ambulances and stuff get near by with sirens and stuff on and it messes with them.but doesnt mess with the 75am nearly as bad
