The great selection of ultracote colors from the manufacturer doesn't include any military colors that I need for camouflage. I covered my plane with white ultracote. Now I need to paint it. Please, share your experience in cote painting!

Thank you,

I got a dura plane I flew years ago. After fixing the wing from an well out of controled landing, I got to a point where looks didn't matter any more, I cleaned it real good then sprayed it with a can of cheap paint from Walmart. And accually it stuck real good. Thats just my dealings with painting monokote.

UltraCote can be painted and I have used several different brands of hobby paints. All seem to stick well. You should use acetone to degrease the model before painting and then use fine steelwool to skuff the surface.
Also if you are into electrics, you can use Model Master flat clear to dull the UltraCote colors. it looks really scale when you mist it with the flat clear.
