Express Carpet Shoot Out [Archive]

Express Motorsports is holding a North South Carpet Shoot out Dec 10 th in Goldsboro NC...Glens Hobby Corner.

There will be practice friday Dec 9th from 12 noon till 8pm
Racing is Saturday at 12:30 with parctice at 8am

Classes are:

Touring stock and Mod
1/12 Mod and stock
Mini coopers

Race has many supporter to date from some great companys.. EA Motorsports,SMC, RC Thunder,BMI,Mc $$$ Designs,Proline,PRS,Express Motorsports,Hyperform and many more...

Entry form is at www.tmxpress.net on homepage top right..

Sign up early as were limited to 100 drivers and already have 30 signed in... There's some good talent already commited from MD,VA,NC,SC,PA,NJ and Tenn already..This looks to be like our outdoor race with over 125+enteries and a great time for all......

Hey all...I'm getting a good amount of feedback from out of towners looking to come in. There looking to run a 19T class for touring along with there 2nd class. So with 1/12 stock having no enteries to date heres a post I used on another thread..

I will add a 19T class if theres enough interest...I'm also looking to dump 1/12 stock..So with that said use the entry and fill out 1/12 stock and remark as 19T and if we get 10 we will run ..If not I will refund your entry..all this will be done before the event weekend..So the sooner we get those 19T enteries in we will know if we have a class..

Anybody already entered in another class looking to switch just shoot me a E mail and I will make the change....

I don't have a car that is capable of running Mod or 19t yet on foams. If I did, I'd run Mod. My cars are too flexy. I already made that mistake at Debbies earlier in the year. I won't make it again.. :D We'll see. I'm waiting for the SpeedtechRC Xenon chassis to come out for my TA05. Then I'll go from there...

Hey all..It just never ends :lol: I now am being asked to continue 1/12 stock. So what I will do is re add the class as long as we get 10 enteries before Nov 20th..Then we will run them..so spread the word and get those enteries in asap....

Anyways, Ron can't copy Lauries setup because he has a different chassis and suspension kit on it. But he has my setup from the start of the season.
Well... if not, I have copies of it...

All my cars are asphalt cars (ie.. Japanese cars hehe). I thought about the EvoIV for 19t. It might be possible. But I don't like the way it handles on carpet compared to a 415. Don't worry. I have til December to get a carpet car (belted) for mod/19t.. I want a competitive car for mod/19t.... not a club race car... ;)

Hey all... just over 6 weeks till the Shoot begins...Were curently working on last minute details on some trophy gals and such. Looks now like a nice amount from the North are stepping up to the challange. Lets see who's got the bigger guns...

For those not yet signed up..dont wait to long as only the first 100 are in as pit spaces are limited..so if your local there is no Oh I'll sign up on race day..the'llbe full and closed. I already got a lot of locals just wouldnt see the rest shut out.

I plan to be at Rosewood for opening day so have your forms filled out and I can collect them there.

Also dont forget we added 19T touring.

This will be a race to remember in NC ..Trust me

Also were looking to sumit this to 2 major mags so your pic just may be seen....

I was racing at Debbies this past weekend...Bunch of fast guys from up there definatley going to be making the Express race..They also plan on coming down a few times before Dec. to get some practice in..

I sure wish there was some year round carpet tracks in NC like they have up there...They get way to much time to pratice...lol

Were in the 35+ range..Mostly touring stock,few 1/10 mods and a good amount of 19T touring with a lot of e mails saying entry on the way..minis have 4 so far and NO 1/12 stock..but they got till the 20th before this class gets called..I was asked to save this class but so far no enteries..Touring stock will be a major event..

We do have Latif Michal from Trinity coming down to call the show..just wait till you hear him go..He is 1 of the best I ever heard in over 25 + years..

Those who are not yet entered I will be there next weekend,so please have them ready if you can or mail them asap so we can get you in..I heard in Ohio this weekend there will be many coming in the next week. We are limited to 100 drivers and dont plan on raceday sign ups as I know from our outdoor race we were full.

Yeah, many people in OH said, We'll send it in when we get home". Plus, the 35 entries now doesn't include any of the northern team members that have been counted for, so that will add another chunk.

Latif- sweeeeeeett. This guy is "da man" at calling races. Ron, just think, now you can "wrench" for this race and not focus on running the race.

i am going to wait to see how i do on carpet before entering. Even if I don't enter the race, I will still be there (marshall for y'all, watch, see whats going on and LEARN stuff too)

so either way I'll be there, most likely I will race though, just depends. No big deal either way :D

Well we have Jason Scheffler comfirmed to be there along with Team Losi's Ray Darroch..along with a host of other well know TBA shortly. Looks like a show of shows so far.

Lets keep these entry form rolling in and not get cought not being able to sign up as we are on strict 100 driver count.

Hey all.. Hyperform has added a 1/12 chassie kit to our 1/12 stock class..the winner of this kit could come from anywhere in the feild..you must enter to be able to get this great kit..so get those stock 1/12 enteries coming.... :cool:

We will be giving all our racers 2 raffle tickets per entery...From there I will talk to Glenn..also some prizes are for certain class entrants TBA after that event(1/12 stock)..There will be some supprises there...Lets just hope this class grows to be able to award somebody with a great award..

Cheer...Its gona be a good time..just join in the fun..forget about winning its getting to run with better racers that makes people better and you'll be supprised at what you can learn being involved in larger races...Heck find a 1/12 there a great prize up for grabs in that class and the enteries are slim in there. Stock touring looks to have 40 come race day...

Pit spaces are limited to 70..so if you can bring a table and chair feel free to bring them as we have a large back room to pit..also bring a light ,ex cord and power strip..

Team Express..WE will be pitting in the back room together so please bring what may be needed...

Reminders........Orderless tire compound only,Niftech,Jack the gripper and such work well..I like Jack

Stools..If you have them bring them as there semi limited to stools there..you may also want to bring a power strip since we have a large amount of people coming we need to free some plugs up a bit.

Bring what you feel you might need tires and spares also as track might not have ample supply. I will have some parma touring tires for those looking....

Locals..If you have any tables you might be able to bring to the track for us to borrow for the Express race that would be great...

Team Express..WE will be pitting in the back room together so please bring what may be needed...

Reminders........Orderless tire compound only,Niftech,Jack the gripper and such work well..I like Jack

Stools..If you have them bring them as there semi limited to stools there..you may also want to bring a power strip since we have a large amount of people coming we need to free some plugs up a bit.

Bring what you feel you might need tires and spares also as track might not have ample supply. I will have some parma touring tires for those looking....

I have Jaco 2 stags front and rear tires for this race. 1 pr- $14.95ea, 2-pr $14.50ea, 3-pr $13.95ea. I also have plenty of parma tires in stock also, $12.95pr for this race.
