I am working on a 10ft wingspan 20lb plane with a pusher propeller, powered by nimh batteries, i was gonna get about 20 of em so i can get the right voltage required for the motor. do you guys have any suggestions on the motor/prop choices?

my current favorite is the Astro 040 brushless motor with a direct drive prop, was thinkin in the 16 inch range, pusher style of course. do you guys think the propultion system will be robust enough?

I will be using a 40 amp fuse on the battery pack so that i dont create too much current draw, the 3300 cells i chose dont wanna handle much more and i dont wanna mess with parallel configurations

Hi Ramad,
If you are going to use an electric motor, most of them can be reversed to drive a regular prop in the pusher mode. Just be sure the front of the prop faces the front of the plane :-)

Is timing an issue when you reverse one?

Hi Charlie,
Timing can be an issue depending on the specific motor. I would contact the manufacturer, or a representative to check on this.
