I would like some suggestions for a motor for my Tamiya F 201. I want a motor that will give me decent speed 25-30mph and an idea of run times. I don't race, just bash.

13-10 Turn motors would be around that speed. Depending on gearing.

If geared right you should get great run times, What kind of battery are you using?

I'm going to use Epic 3000 nimh stick packs. And probably stock gearing. Is it worth it to get the novak 5800 brushless?

With a stock motor you should be able to easy obtain speeds over 25mph, several things will play a part in being able to reach that speed or higher: distance, gearing, how good are the electronics and the condition of vehicle's drivetrain. An old RC10 and other things I no longer use in racing (batteries, esc, motors) can reach speeds over 35mph when there enough space to safely obtain those speeds and slow down.
Motors are Reedy Competition Stocks to Midnight2, or Paradoxes, batteries are 1400, 1700. 2000, some 2400, esc Novak 410mx, gearing 81 with 23-26 pinion, tires are Road Hawgs, Duratrax Street Paws, bodies is an open comp camero ran in dirt oval or a Associated Sprinter 2 body/wing.
