Anyone try these yet?

I want to pickup some, I mean Gp cells at the that price? :D

If nobodys tried these yet I might pickup some tomorrow on my way to work.

Obviously, I'm not going to race with these cells. I mean I'll run them through my clod with dual 55t motors. I'm looking for reliability and punch with good runtimes.

Some people have tried them. I think the verdict is....they're GP3300's. Which means they're good cells. I'd say go for it if you just want some good bashing packs.

I just was wondering if they have about the same quality in the cells as my unmatched smc 3300 gp cells. I wonder if they get boxes direct from GP or if these are just junk cells left over from some other matcher.

If I remember correctly, one poster around here (bigair78 I believe) actually has some similar SMC packs and said the Radio Shack ones performed similarly. I think it was SMC. He also said they were about like his Reedy Black Label packs...but he would really be the best person to tell you. Search around for radio shack GP3300's on these forums and you should find another thread or two.

I searched before I started this thread, but searched again with the details you gave me and found what I was looking for.

Thanks for the help, looks like I'll have to go get few.

I think i may pick up some of those packs, as they look pretty much just like what hobby stores carry.
But what is the difference between $25 batt packs, and $75 packs if they are the same capacity? I have noticed my expensive packs have a lower voltage then my cheap packs when they are done charging.

More expensive packs are often "matched," meaning the cells are put into groups by certain characteristics like voltage and run time. When cells are matched up based on performance, you get a somewhat better-performing battery pack and, as you have found, a more expensive pack as well. Good matched cells are also chosen for low internal resistance (IR). When charging a pack, the charger has to "push" against this internal resistance in order to put energy into the battery. Cheaper cells generally have higher internal resistance, and when the charger has to push harder against this resistance it shows a higher voltage reading. This high voltage reading is normally seen during charging, however...your expensive packs should theoretically have a bit higher voltage at the end of the charge. But the low voltage you're seeing is likely because your expensive packs have lower IR than your cheap ones.

The Shack also has 2000mha packs for $7.47. Have there been any reports on these? I figure they'll work ok for Roto starts and such. Hope so anyway.

The RS GP3300's are GP built sport packs, with a RS sticker on them. A good pack for the price.

For rotostarts, sure why not if they're so cheap and you need rotostart packs. Obviously for actually driving a car the GP's should put a much bigger smile on your face.

I have two GP 3300 packs from radioshack. The verdict- they're good batteries, and at 26 bucks total per pack roughly, you can't go wrong. They're like running 7 cells if they're fresh off the charger too, so it's all good to me...:D I'd love to run a 7 cell pack of these suckers now.:D:D:D

Yep, I ended up with 4 packs they seem equal when compared to my unmatched SMC GP3300 packs.
