My wife has asked me what i want for christmas as she is running out of ideas so i have said i would like a new engine for my savage....... :D
what would you recommend - i dont want to spend big money. Would like something that is reliable but allows for big wheelies and big air.
Cheers

I like my Mach.26. Lots of power, lots of wheelies and it's not even completely tuned in yet after break-in. It's a pretty reasonably priced too. I think it's $170 at Horizon Hobbies. It's an easy swap too. Only dificulty was the roto-start doers not fit w/o modification but it comes with a pull start so that may not be a concern for you.

I expect it to be strong enough you'll find any waek link in your Savage.
I have this one and its was def a step up from the 4.6SS 28 engine -

That OS looks nice and the reputation of OS is outstanding..
For great reliability and power, you cant go wrong with the mach 26..
If your lady is a spender and you want the baddest engine around, go with a NovaRossi 528xRp.. I have one and have no doubt that its the fastest non moddified engine around.. I can say that after running it against all the biggest 28's-32's out there... There is just no comparison with these high end engines.. I got mine for $265 shipped from RCRob on ebay...
Next to the K46

skezze thats how the NovaRossi 528xRp comes ported thats crazy . thats a big diffrence from the k4.6. ive seen the picco .27 in a truggy at the track it was crazy fast.im sure it wouldnt have a problem doing wheelies. the mach seems to be cheap and reiable. alot of savage owners have the engine so im sure its a great engine. or u could go for the o.s.
