Been looking at several different glo-plug ingiters, and need to know if there is much difference if one or another? I see after market ones for as little as 5 or 6 bucks, or an HPI one for about $30.00. Also, is the stock glow-plug that came with my 4.6 Savage ok for everything, or do I need different ones for different conditions? (like break-in, 70 degree weather, 90 degree weather, etc.)?? Appreciate any advice. Griz

they are basicly all the same, but some have fancier styling and aluminum handles like the ft ae one, and some use sub c cells

Stock plug is good for all but a nitro %'age change - get a few spares, some pop during breakin, some go for years.
Glow igniters - I've started using this one - never have to worry about it being or going flat, it'll last a month of hard use and still have plenty left.

If you don't want one this big or heavy, try the smaller hotshot -

I have the hot shot also and it does a fine job. However, I also have one very similar to this one:

that I prefer. I like it better because of the meter. It will tell you if the battery is low or if the glow plug has burnt out.
The only other thing you need to consider is the lenght of the shaft. Some bodies, like the Hummer, require either a very long shaft on the glow plug warmer or removing the body to start the truck.
