I bought used a Megatech 3PK transmitter. It came with a 27mhz transmitter module block and receiver. They work great. (RX = PCM 1024 FP-R113ip 27mhz; TX = FP-PK-FM Transmitter module 27mhz)
I was hoping to use a 75mhz transmitter block and receiver. I can't get it to work right. It appears to be sending "max signal" to both devices (servo and speed).
Also, should this radio be limited to 27mhz as it may be a limitation to Japanese version, would a Spektrum module work in it?
Thank you.

Did you try using 75MHz crystals in the 75MHz Module and the 75MHz receiver or did you try them with the 27MHz crystals?
The Spektrum DSM module and receiver should work with the transmitter. The only difference between the Megatech and USA version is the warranty and what it comes with in the box.

Yes I tried using 75mhz crystals. Actually did a complete swap of module from another working 3PK. No avail. Even tried multiple crystals.
The only difference between the Megatech and USA version is the warranty and what it comes with in the box.
That's why I am now confused!
Thanks,

Last suggestion. Check your MOD-MODE setting to be sure you're using the correct mode. HRS, PPM or PCM; select the correct one for your receiver and turn off the transmitter.

Are you using a matched set of Futaba crystals?
I have even used a Hitec module but then you need a Hitec crystal. Even the Hitec Spectra module works.

Do as AreCee suggested. I ran into the same issue when I first got my 3PK and realized when it's in PCM mode you can only use PCM RX's. When it's in PPM mode then it's standard FM and works with normal futaba RX's and the Novak xxtra RX's then of course HRS is only for the HRS RX. Also remember when you change the frequency type you need to wait a couple of seconds once you get out of the program then turn the radio off and back on for it start transmitting in that mode.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll give it a shot.
Have any of you used FM with Megatech? Or are you all "assuming"? Cauz, I wrote Spektrum to see if it would be compatible and they wrote back saying it wouldn't.
