do you need it? no. is it a good thing to use in our engine? yes. as for maintence, get a compressor, cover up your carb with something impermeable(rubber works well) and blast all the junk off of it. if you want to or have access to one, combine it with denatured alcohol and that will clean it up even more.

yes, otherwise youre blowing debris into your carb at a high pressure.

Wrong, if you're using a compressor, you need to cover the filter - find a small can or a plastic cup or anything that fits snug over the filter. Then proceed to clean. Stay away from blowing directly on the rear area of the filter where its not completely covered.

I always take mine off - I need to put ARO in anyway and I have a tight fitting soft plastic cap that goes on and seals the carb. Its the safest way when you're cleaning with copmpressor. Zip ties are cheap - Walmart has a 500or so assortment for like $5.

clean them up first, then add a bit of oil. not too much though, that will just attract more dirt.
and offroaders, please use puncuation! it makes it much more easy to read

After run oil it when finished with it unless useing it again within 7 days also i would advise to remove all driveline bearings give a good clean and soak for 1 day leave to dry and then use 3 in 1 oil to reoil these with and you will find that they will last alot longer than cleaning them at all.

Overall just do the basic clean down so it does not get to dirty it may seem a endless task to clean it but believe me it does pay off in the long run and well worth it

10-4!

Drive line bearings - 2 in each wheel, 4 in each diff, and there's more in the trans. But I'm guessing savagemachine is prob talking about the ones in the wheels - they see a lot of dirt and debris.

I just replace mine as a set once I notice any one of them has gotten stiff or started dragging.

clean them by blowing the compressed air on them, then shooting it with some lube and blast again with the compressor. thats probably your best bet

The driveline bearing are situated behind the c hubs on all 4 of the wheels it is so important to keep these clean as all the debris build up in these and if they get wet they will go rusty which will then prevent your wheels fron turning freely.
