the .18tz is a good motor from what i've heard. but if you wanna go big go with dynamite mach .26, if you wanna race in the stock monster truck you can go up to a .18 engine. anything else would be in the big block or open monster truck class.
i hope that made some sense.

There are 2 drop in motors out there that are nice, the O.S. .18TM and the RB TM323. Now, if you want to spin your tires, have uncontrollable power, all day long wheelie/donut capabilites, get the RB, beacuse its only good for everything but the track. The TM has lots of power, torque, etc, and its sometimes a tad too much power, but its perfect for the track. Hope this helps, id go with a TM, cuz you have to modifiy the TZ to fit the revo

Definentaly the TM, If you get the Revo version, it comes with a manifold! Freebee's, that means jump on it!

If you're going to seriously race, either the TM .18 or TZ .18 (latter requires some minor mods) are a good choice. The RB is way too much power...you'll be breaking traction while the small-blocks pass you by.

I hold me weight with my collari in my revo. Sure I pull a wheelie n the front straight. but I also can triple the jumps some other trucks cant so in the end I usually come out on top when I go for the triple. But when I dont and go single double at my track then we are about even just depends on the last wo small jumps. Which I sometimes have a hard time with so does the other guys. It just all depends you want power be prepared to get some driving lessons then. You want to control the truck and have less power the os 18tm then.

There is no such thing as too much power! You just have to learn how to use the power, that's all... but like someone else said, using the larger engine will put you into a different class so you would have to decide which class you want to race in.
