My local track is combining all the monster trucks into one category so I will have to run my tmaxx with the big blocks and truggies and I was wondering what would be a good competitive truck to race with. I could get a revo with a big block, an lst or a truggy. Im just not sure wich one would keep up with the other drivers. Thanks

Which trucks post the best lap times/counts now?

That would be a good starting point to consider, keeping in mind that driver skill plays the most important part...

If your looking at a truggy go with the Jammin truggy. looks sick and i heard its a performer.

If your lookin fer a truggy, Thunder Tiger just released their ST-1 RTR and a kit is coming. As for the Revo/BB idea....me personally, I have seen BBs in Revo's and also seen Revo's with the O.S 18 TM/TZ series engines. The guys running the O.S' were turning laps 3 seconds faster than the BB Revos at my LHS this summer.I think the BBs are awesome for bashing, and maybe just as great on a wide open, lots of straights type of track...but on small to medium tracks, IMO, the O.S' simply get on the pipe sooo much quicker than the BBs do. Anyway, I would personally choose the O.S' engines if I was going to race a Revo.

The new Kyosho truggie looks promising, it's baised off the Inferno chassis. Also the Hellfire from HPI. Though these are high-dollar machines, but they handle like racing buggies.

Revo with a os 18tm. A couple of my friends have them they are a great motor and truck combo. The motor has a lot of power to get the truck going. It is light as well. With all the revo mods and hop ups out there you can make it a really good and nice race truck. I have a revo with a collari 21 3 port and I have launched this thing 30ft up and land do it again and it never broke that night nor the next day at the track.
