Does it have slightly sluggish acceleration? If so, it is locked in second. If it isn't, it is more than likely locked in first.
Instructions on how to adjust here: http://www.traxxas.com/support/troubleshooting/expanded/trouble_exp_tshiftpoint.htm
It could also be that you loosened the set screw holding the 2 speed on the shaft.

This is a HUGE no-no. You can ruin the engine by doing this because there is no load on it, causing it to reach rpm's higher than what are intended.
It's more than likely your 2-speed adjustment screw, so take the time to adjust it properly. There are 2 screws in there if you didn't know, and the one that's not the 2-speed adjustment pretty much holds the tranny together...so I hope you didn't futz with that lol. Read the manual, or check this out- http://www.traxxas.com/support/pub/the_complete_tmaxx_guide_part3.htm#2-speed-anchor
EDIT: Ah, I shoulda read slow's post first lol...oh well, good luck!

I may also be that the slipper is to loose. Beleive it or not that fixed my shifting problem on my maxx.

When my TMaxx does not shift into second I have found I am running the engine a little to rich. You can also adjust the clutch with port hole on the tranny and I would look at the instructions for this. If you turn it out counter clockwise it will loosen the second gear clutch. 1/8 of a turn I would start with then make small 1/8 turn increments. This will make your shift point sooner.
I would look at leaning it out just a little bit first and use the same advice on the HSN lean it it out in 1/8 turn increments. With weather changes you have to make adjustments to the Carb. I adjust my Tmaxx for best performance everytime I run.

I have had the same problem make sure you have properly tuned the truck. If you are too rich the truck will not shift.
