I dunno if this was already mentioned here somewhere, but feigao apparently also makes sensored BL motors. Would they possibly be compatable with the Novak or LRP ESCs?

That would be very interesting. Because then I could use a motor that is 50g lighter and just use the Velocity for national meetings.

Feigao stopped making those along time ago. And no, I don't think the sensor harness will fit into the novak esc's.
From the picture, I think I see an extra short 540 (like the lehner basic) and a shorter 380 can.
I could make an adapter, the plug is not a problem as long as the output from the sensors is the right voltage.
Seems strage that they still show them on their website if they don't make them anymore  http://www.feigao.com/sdp/85838/4/cp-102739.html

Unless Novak did something to specifically try to stop other motors from working I think it would work as long as you got the wiring correct. I am pretty sure you'd also have to add a resistor to "fake out" the temperature sensor thats in the Novak motors but not in the Feigaos.(I believe a 10K would do it if I am recalling the Novak tech document correctly)

I've been running my supersport ss5800 combo with the blue heat sensor wire disconneted for over 6 months :p

It is unlikely that the motors will work together. Novak uses a different sensor layout from other sensored companies that I know of (like aveox). It is also unlikely that the Feigaos are wye wound like the novak's.
I don't think it matters that it is delta wound and I would have thought most hall affect sensors use the same output. The timing could be a problem, if you can adjust the position of the sensors it could be sorted though.

That's basically what I was getting at. Of course ROAR ony allows "Y" configs if I'm not mistaken. But it sure would open up possibilities...

More importantly than any of this, is there a shop you can actually buy them from? Can't use it at all if you can't buy it.

As I previously said, feigao doesn't make those motors any longer. I asked starluckrc about this a while back.
What if a company were to put in an order for 1 thousand of them? Because the Aircraft market doesn't need sensored motors they probably stoped producing them. But if there was a market to use them with the new generation of sensored controllers they might do some more production runs. Feigao seem to be interesting in making products for any market that will buy their motors. I think that's why the brought out the 380c. If they could make a 380c with sensors that would work with the GTB I would buy one.

Starluckrc said that feigao is considering roar legal motors. Feigao is an adaptable company so it's definately possible that the sensored motors could return. I think starluckrc inspired feigao to make the 380c motor, and it took 2 years for the them to be released.

Feigao releasing ROAR legal motors would be very, very nice. ROAR legal - and non-legal motors based on the 380c and 540c design with a removable sensor wire that isn't required for smooth running with sensorless controllers would be even better. OK I'll stop dreaming now :)
