You should've gotten it on ebay - mine's on sale there and it's in almost brand new condition!

I got mine from Starluck so I could test them. It's a great combo, but nothing beats going 4s lipo in a T4. 7.4 volts just doesn't have the kick that 14.8 volts have. You can use 4s with the Pro, but 4s is too high for the 7s motor.

3s is what i wanted to use but one of my local tracks doesn't allow anything but 6cell nimh in races so i was forced to use a low turn motor and low voltage... but the feigao motors are so cheap that i could get another one easily..

got the shipment in yesterday... i haven't had time to put the motor in yet but everything seems to be in order... i see what everyone is talking about when they say the mtronics esc's come with a HUGE capacitor... i have a few different ideas on where to mount it and will post pics when i get to it... the tp pack is a little wider than i had thought and i have to take out the mounting tabs on my FK05' to get it to fit but 6000 mah is a worth it

finally... i got to try out this setup...WOW... i'll try to take a vid... very fast... i usually run 84/21 gearing on my xray fk05' with a 19T... with this setup i put in the lowest gear ratio i had to run 87/16 and its still REALLY fast... with the tp6000 lipo i get about 17min runtime and the motor came of at about 140 adn the esc at about 110 and the lipos at about 100... i also tried my friends plety extreme with this controller and it worked even better... i used 84/26 gearing and the thing was a missile... i didn't check the temps with a temp gun but the motor and esc were barely warm, if i had to guess i would say about 90 for the esc and less for the motor...

there was no room on the xray to mount the cap so i just left it hanging in the air attached to the esc-battery wires... nit pretty but works... for the battery i fibre tape to tape it down and removed the outer battery holders and the batter bar... again not pretty but works... stup should be easier on the b3 as there's lots of room...

i'm thinking of gearing up... whats a safe temp for the motor?

Wait wait wait...hold the phone...back it up....

The track only allows 6 cell Nimh, but they let you run a car that is breaking at least 3 big ROAR rules?

1. Illegal brushless motor.
2. LiPos are in no way shape or form ROAR legal (and won't be for about a decade).
3. Your car is probably underweight.

Please point me in the direction of this track, me likes! :)

would a setup like this be ideal for the yokomo 4wd truck?

i would recomend this setup to anyone... for 200usd its AMAZING... when i topld everyone the price they all wanted to know where they could get one... i think starluck is gonna have some new customers... lol

GordonFreeman, actually the track will let me run the lipos now too since they're 7.4... in the open class is everthing goes... the car is severly underweight thougha nd the electronics side is way heavier than the battery side so i'll have to do something there...

i let some of the top drivers from the track take the car for a spin and some of them were so shocked at the speed that they couldn't get used to the driving... but you couldn't wipe the grin of their faces when they squeezed the throttle down the main strait... check out the track, its one of the best anywhere... www.fastcats.ca

Abiye if this class is pretty much open and allows for 2s lipo setups I'm sure you can race with 4s setups as well?
