What is the fastest reedy brushless motor I could hook up to a nokav SS ESC?
It came wiith the 5800 motor just looking for a mottor wiith a litttle more power.

thanks all

Why do you want a Reedy? Why not go with the GTB 6.5 or 5.5? I believe the hottest Reedy is a 7.5 or so but dont quote me on that.

The 5800 is a 8.5 I believe, and without a fan I hear that the SS esc tends to like to get hot. That means that you should try to keep the limit to an 8.5 motor.

It is going to be hard to get more power out of a motor using that controller. The 5800 motor itself can provide more power when it is used with a better controller.

With a fast fan on the esc and low gearing you may be able to get away with running the 7.5 turn. But I wouldn't bet anything on it. :)

You can't run the 5.5 or 6.5 motors with the SS esc, you'd have to have the GTB esc.

You don't *have* to. The only problem is that there is no way that the SS esc can handle a 5.5 or 6.5 with standard gearing.

Bingo, that's my whole point. Your statement is like saying you don't *have* to put oil in your automobile, but if you don't you'll destroy your engine.

I also realize that you could run the 5.5 or 6.5 with the LRP Sphere, but since we were talking Novak, I specified the GTB.
